The Old Testament book of Jonah is one of the better known works from those biblical authors known as the “minor prophets.” Jonah relates a short but timeless story that Jesus highlights as pointing to his own death and resurrection. Though the main theme is God’s astonishing grace, there is also a strong emphasis on mission and the evils of the human heart.
